The Fashion Front serves as the full figured fashion force at the front lines of Full Figured Fashion Week in New York- bringing the latest news, perspective, and exclusive access to FFFWeek™. For 2012, The Fashion Front includes an international eclectic mix of the plus size fashion community’s bloggers- whose unique voice and position within the community is both recognized and respected.

The Fashion Front for Full Figured Fashion Week™ was created by plus size fashion bloggers, Marie Denee of The Curvy Fashionista and Johara Tucker of Luvin’ My Curves.

With over 100+ applications, The Fashion Front for Full Figured Fashion Week™ welcomes 17 bloggers. From plus size fashion experts, stylists, outfit bloggers, femme fashionistas, bargain shoppers to the luxe fashion fanatics, The Fashion Front for Full Figured Fashion Week™ showcases and celebrates the diversity in plus size fashion with those whose voice and perspective is dominant throughout the community.

From the Netherlands, to France, down under in Australia, up North in Canada, back to the US, the Fashion Front definitely captures a diverse and enthusiastic selection of bloggers with a passion for fashion!

Full Figured Fashion Week 2012 is Auditioning Plus Size Dancers for New York City Show

- MUST live in NY/NJ/CT area as rehearsals will be in NYC.  Sorry, no exceptions

- Bring full length photo (photos will not be returned)

- Be prepared to perform a 1.5 minute routine of your choice 

- Be sure to bring a CD with your music

- If you make the initial cut, please be prepared to return to the audition room and learn four 8 counts and perform it for our judging panel so that we can see how quickly you pick up choreography

 - If you make the cut, the entire audition process will take approximately 2.5 hours so please plan to stay if you are chosen for Round 2.

- Auditions will be videotaped so bring your curvy girl “A” game and face.

- Dancers chosen to perform will be compensated.

- The video above is a copy of the dance choreography performed by the dancers who were selected to perform at last year’s event.

Full Figured Fashion Week™ 2012 Partners with NYLA Public Relations

DeVoe Signature Events Inc., producers of Full Figured Fashion Week™ (FFFWeek), is pleased to announce that our new Agency of Record for FFFWeek 2012 is NYLA PR, an integrated PR and marketing firm run by Kellie Brown.

NYLA will lead all public relations efforts for FFFWeek and is the main point of contact for all media relations. We are thrilled to have partnered with NYLA on this year’s event and look forward to your attendance at the event on June 13-16, 2012 in New York City.

Wanted: Fashion Video-Blogger for Full Figured Fashion Week

Full Figured Fashion Week is in search of a Fashion Video Blogger who lives within the 5 boroughs of NYC and/or its surrounding areas and who has an interest in plus size fashion, along with experience in wordpress, social media and all web 2.0 areas to create a weekly vlog.  Your vlog will be the eyes and ears of FFFWeek reporting from an insider’s perspective.  How exciting is that????

The following is required:
  • Examples of previous videos that have been published; YouTube videos are acceptable, ones published on blogs/sites are preferred
  • Experience with all aspects of WordPress, Tumblr and its workings
  • Able to produce a video of at least 5 mins long every week -  we can be flexible on publication day
  • Must be well-spoken, have knowledge of fashion industry, and present well on camera
  • Candidate will be compensated per video, one video every week. Payment will only be made via Paypal
  • Candidates who have a lot of ‘pull/influence’ with their social media
  • profiles and are willing to post/retweet their videos every week will be given preference also. We can in return provide a backlink from our site to yours
